Repetition and Variety

Repetition and variety are a great way to grab somebody’s attention to a photo. Repetition usually has repeating objects. Repeating objects add stability, strength, and reassurance to your photos. Patterns are used as well. Patterns are powerful and catch your eye. Repeating objects that include a different element add interest. Repetition helps my M&M photo because its adds interest and will catch your eye. It has lots of colors and is repetitive. My apple photo uses variety. Repetition and Variety helps my photo by having a lot of apples but they are different colors. It makes the picture have more interest. It makes it look really interesting. The two different colors of apples draws your eye.

Framing Photos

Framing is  when you have something surrounding and object in the picture. It is used to add depth and interest to your photo. When framing, one should pick an object in the forehead which can border and add interest to an object in the backround. In my branches of leaves photo it adds interest and it draws your eye through the leaves. The flower picture is surrounded by other plants and flowers which borders it. The colors of the flowers draw your eye. It makes you know where to look.

Leading Lines

Leading lines help your photo in a crazy way. You probably never even realized it but your eye is lead through the photo. Leading lines lead you through the photo or to an object in the image. Usually a fence, or bridge, or a road are used in leading lines. You can use almost anything. Its an amazing way to help your image have a focus point. The line leading can be straight, wavy, or diagonal. It helped my tree photo because you feel like your walking through it It makes you me like your their. It makes you want to go to the end of the end of the line. In my stairs photo it also make you feel like your actually their. You feel like your walking up the stairs. Its also in worms eye view which makes it cool too.

Birds eye and worm’s eye

Worm’s eye view is an extreme perspective from below the subject being photographed. It is like a worm looking up from the ground. Bird’s eye view is an extreme perspective from above the subject being photographed. It’s like a bird looking down. This gives your photo a different way of seeing an object. It lets you see it in a way you normally don’t see it .

Rule of Thirds

The rule of thirds is a technique in which you break an image into 3rds with lines both horizontally and vertically. This makes it have 9 boxes. This makes your image more interesting and unique. Your eye naturally goes to the thirds. It is pleasing to your eye. In my water dripping photo the faucet is in the rule of thirds. In the basketball photo the net is in the rule of thirds. It makes you look at the faucet and basketball goal rather than what’s around them.
